PAS 23/24: Shadbolt security doors have been successfully tested against PAS 23 for general performance and PAS 24 for enhanced security (PAS is a Product Assessment Specification, usually a precursor to a British Standard).
Secured by Design (SBD) is an initiative by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) to encourage the building industry to adopt crime prevention measures in the design of developments, to assist in reducing the opportunity for crime and the fear of crime. Secured by Design Awards are given to housing and commercial developments which have reached a certain standard of physical security and have a layout which reduces the opportunity for crime.
